Evaluating

I learnt about evaluating, and practised with a text called the youngest pilot fies around the world.

First we learnt what evaluating is, evaluating is judging events, information and arguments inside a text.

Then, we made 2 arguments about what we think that Mack could have done, or did well at, and summarised both of them. My 2 arguments were that Mack wasted his time, and it didn’t matter that he flew around the world. The other agrument is that he used his time wisely, and he should get an award.

Lastly, we chose which argument we thought was best, I choose that Mack used his time wisely, and he shoukld be awarded my accomplishing a world reccord.

I enjoyed this task becuase I learnt how to evaluate, I think I need to get better at choosing an opinion, I was good at summarising the 2 argiments.

Pencil Code

I practised coding, and learnt about rotation.

First we learnt about rotation, rotation is the way something turns, there are 2 different ways of turning, anticlockwise, and clockwise. Or just left and right.

Then we played a game where we needed to use rotations, angles, and strategy. Me and my partner needed to try and guide eachother though the fake bombs and get to the other side. Me and my partner were good at this, and we didn’t step on any of the bombs.

Lastly we used pencil code and tried making some shapes like triangle, square, and octagon. I made all of the shapes that I could, even the hard ones.

I enjoyed this task because I liked making shapes and making codes. I think I need to improve on moving anticlockwise, and clockwise. I did good at making shapes with pencilcode, and coding other things like flowers.

Mobile Garden

I am learning how to sumamrise texts, one of them is the Mobile Garden.

This story is about a man named Vijayanagar who was sent a letter from the sultan wanting fresh vegetables sent to the kitchen. The sutlan was trying to trick him so that the sultan had an exuse to invade Vijayanagar’s kingdom, Vijayanagar had noticed the sultan tried to trick him, so he hired Apaji to help him. Apaji had bullock carts sent to the royal gardeners so that they could grow their own vegetables. The sultan sent a letter back saying that he had got the vegetables and managed to complete the task, Vijayanagar gave apaji gold coins in return for helping him.

I enjoyed this task because I found this text interesting.

Netball

We learnt netball skills like how to pass.

First, the coach explained some rules, and we practiced netball skills. We practiced defending, and attacking. When I was attacking, I didn’t get the ball because the defenders kept hitting it out of my hand. I think I did good at defending.

Then, we played a game like rob the nest to practice passing, there were 2 teams, and we needed to pass all of the netballs from one hoop, to another hoop. My team lost every time becuase we kept dropping the ball and we weren’t in order. If anyone dropped the ball, then we had to start again.

Next, we played a game of netball, bibs vs non-bibs, I was one of the shooters, but I never go the ball.

Lastly, we played jedi dodgeball becuase it strted to rain. In jedi dodgeball there were 2 teams, I was good at this, I hit lots of people. Even though there was a cheater in the other team, we still won.

I enjoyed this becuase I like netball, I need to improve on trying to catch the ball before the defenders get it. I did good at passing the netball.

How to Write a Correct Blog Post

A correct blog post includes 4 main things.

The first thing a correct blog post must have is a title, a title is what your blog post is about.

The next thing is a label, a label is what subject your work is.

Then, the actuall text itself, or blog, this is the whole blog post.

Finaly the DLO, the DLO shows proof that the tast, or work was complated.

SSR Slefie

I read a story called, The BFG.

This story is about a girl named Sophie who couldn’t sleep one night becuase a moonbean was shining onto her face. When she went to go close the curtain, the BFG came and snatched her, and took her back to his house.

I enjoyed this story becuase I have read this story before, and enjoyed it.

HPE – Basketball

I learnt 2 basketball skills, passing and dribbling.

First I revised dribbling. When I dribble my legs need to be shoulder width apart. I have to use my fingers to get a good grip on the ball.

Then I revised passing. When passing the ball, my hands need to be in a “W” shape so that I am ready to catch the ball. My fingers are spread out when passing so I get a good grip, and I can nold onto the ball.

I enjoyed this because I revised different skills. I did well at dribbling and passing.

Compare and Contrast

I am learning about comparing and contrasting cultural stories.

First, we watched a cultural story about an immortal snake.

Then, I made a venn diagram to compare the immortal snake story, to another cultural story. The middle of the venn diagram are the simalarities between the 2 texts, the other sides are the differences.

Lastly I compared and contrasted the 2. Comparing, is when you find similaraties. Contrasting is when you find the differences.

I enjoyed this task because I got to learn about different cultral stories.

Maths Week

First I did the daily dollar. Daily dollar is answering a sheet of questiong, I got $100/$100 by answering all of the questions correct.

Next I did maths millionaire. Maths millionaire is a test. I earned $2,048/$2,048.

I didn’t enjoyed this task because I don’t like maths, but I got the highest amount of money which is $2,148. I did well on the Maths millionarie. I need to improve on my fractions

State or Opinion

A opinion is what somebody thinks about an object, place,or thing.

The structure of an opinion is APE. A is for Assertion, P is for Proof, and E is for Explain/Example. For example:  Should the older brother get the soft toy, or the younger brother.

Assertion is telling your opinion. Proof is giving the evidence for your opinion. Explain/Example is explaining your evidence, or proof.

Opinions are used for making a judgement by human beings.
