Perimetre

I learnt about what a perimetre is and how to measure it.

First, we learnt what a perimetre is, a perimetre is the measurment of the outline of an area. The area we measured for the perimetre is our school field.

Then, we went on google maps and estimated what we thought the perimetre of the school field was. My estimates were pretty close to the actuall perimetre.

Lastly, we measured the school field on google maps and found the correct perimetres.

I enjoyed this task becuase I liked seeing how close my estimation was. I think I did good at estimating and finding the perimetre.

Statistics

I learnt about statistics.

First, we all answerd 4 questions each, they we’re: Can you ride a bike? Whats your favourite colour? What month we’re born in? And how many people live in our house?

Next, we needed to analyze all 4 of the tally’s. We needed to add the tally’s and find out the frequency.

I enjodey this task because I liked making the tally’s. I did good at making the tally’s, I don’t think I need to improve on anything.

Adding fractions

I learnt about adding fractions.

First I watched a video explaining how to add fractions. For example: 1/4 + 2/2 =?, so first, do 2×4, this is 8. Then, do 1×2, and 4×2, the answer is 10 added up. So, the answer for 1/4+2/2 is 8/10. Next I added more fractions like: 1/6 + 1/4 = 5/12, and 1/4 + 2/5 = 3/5.

Lastly I answered a sheet of adding fractions, I did good at this.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt to add fractions. I did well on adding fractions. I need to imrpove on the times tables part.

Pencil Code

I practised coding, and learnt about rotation.

First we learnt about rotation, rotation is the way something turns, there are 2 different ways of turning, anticlockwise, and clockwise. Or just left and right.

Then we played a game where we needed to use rotations, angles, and strategy. Me and my partner needed to try and guide eachother though the fake bombs and get to the other side. Me and my partner were good at this, and we didn’t step on any of the bombs.

Lastly we used pencil code and tried making some shapes like triangle, square, and octagon. I made all of the shapes that I could, even the hard ones.

I enjoyed this task because I liked making shapes and making codes. I think I need to improve on moving anticlockwise, and clockwise. I did good at making shapes with pencilcode, and coding other things like flowers.

Coordinates

I learnt what a coordinate is.

First, Miss White taught us what coordinates are. Coordinates are how you can find something, or a place where something stands.

Next, we practised reading coordinates on a table, you can see it down below.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt about coordinate is. I did well on reading coordinates. I need to improve on reading the Y axis.
