Reading Analog Clock

I learnt how to read one of the 2 different times of clocks. An analog clock, and a digital clock. I learnt how to read an analog clock

The big hand on a analog clock is the hour hand. It tells you the hours. The long hand is the minute hand. It tells you the minutes.

Parts Of Speech

I learnt that parts of speech are English words catagorised into 8 or 9 different kinds of words. the different parts of speech are. Nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.

Nouns are things that you can talk about. Like places, ideas, or objects. For example. The cat; cat is the noun because it can be talked about.

Verbs are actions. They can be actions of thought, actions of movement, or actions of being. For example. The cat yawned; Yawned is the noun because it is an action of movement.

Adjectives are things that describe nouns and add a quality. For example. The fluffy cat yawned; Fluffy is the adjective because it describes the quality of the cat.

Adverbs are words that describe verbs, and also add a quality. For example. The fluffy cat yawned slowly; slowly is the adverb because it describes how the cat yawned.

the parts of speech are the ways words are used in a sentence.

Observable and Literal Information

Observable information is what you can get directly from the image. Literal information is information that is printed or in a text.

Observable information can only be retrieved from observing an image. For example. in the first slide, there are rocks.

Literal information is information that can only be retrieved from a text, or printed. For example. In the fifth slide, the woman did errands for farmers for a living.

 

Soccer

We learn some skill’s that you can use when your playing soccer.

The first thing that I learnt was how to dribble the ball. To dribble the ball you need to keep the ball close to you so that other people can’t stel it from you. The next thing we learnt bout dribbling was that we had to use the inside part of our feet so that the ball wouldn’t roll away.

Then we practiced passing the ball to our partner. First we had to use the insinde of our dominant foot. Then we practised passing using the inside of our non-dominatd foot. When our partner kicked the ball to us we could either use the side of our foot to stop it, or put our foot on-top of the ball.

Lastly we played a passing game called 8 passes. To play 8 passes we had to try and pass the ball between our team 8 times with out the ball going out of the line or the other team getting the ball. Once the ball went out of the lines we had to pass it to them other team diaganal from us.

I enjoyed learning soccer skills. I think that I could get faster at dribbling the ball because I was slow. I think that I was good at passing the ball to my partner.

Anzac Quatrefoil

I created an anzac quatrefoil.

First, I choose the tyoe of quatrefoil I wanted to use. Then, I planed out the colours and shaoes that I was going to use.

Next, I decided the shapes and colours that I wanted to use on my quadrefoil. I used different shapes like a cross, a soilder, and an angel.

Lastly, I thought of what I was gonna make my quadrefoil of, and if I was going to use stencils or freehand it.

I enjoyed doing this task because art is my favourite

Imaginitive Reccount Draft

I created my imaginitive reccount draft about the zombie apocolyps.

First we had to write a reveal for our draft using the ideas we had in our plan.

Then we wrote all 3 events. My frist event was that the family’s bikes running out of gas, and that the family kill Lee beacuse he had a bite mark.

Lastly we wrote our personal reflections and ending. In my ending the family find a hideout with other survivors and hide there until the apocolyps is over.

I enjoyed doing this bacuse I got to use my imagination and put crazy twists! I think that I could have tried to use less of my ideas, because I wanted to put all my ideas in.

Prototec

I did another prototec test on my times tables.

First I did a timed test. There weren’t as many qhestions as usual because I did the times tables from 2-9. for example, “9×8=72”

 

Then I did a cheet test. The sheet test wasn’t timed. It was just a sheet with some of the same times table questions from 2-9.

Then I wrote some of the question that I got wrong in my book so that I could practice them and try to learn them.

I liked doing prototec because at the end it tells me if im right or wrong. I did better at the sheet test because on the timed one there was too much presure. I think that I could try and get faster at answering my times tables.

Prototec

I tested my basic facts on prototec.

First we did a timed prtotec test. There were a variaty of questions, for example ” 83/100 = 83%”

Then we did a sheet prototec test. It wasn’t timed, so I didn’t have the presure.

Lastly we wrote some of the questions that we got wrong inside our books.

I think that I need to get faster at answering my basic facts because I was slow. But I think that I did good on my sheet basic facts because I wasn’t under presure.

 

 

Fact Find

I created a fact find about a different culture’s drum.

First I looked for a drum that I wanted to do my fact find about. I chose the Chinese Tanggu drum.

Then I looked for some facts and media about the Tanggu drum. I found lots of different facts. for example, “The Tanggu drum was made about 250 years ago, in the 19th century.”

Lastly I put all of the links where I got the information from, so other people can learn more about the Tanggu drum.

I enjoyed doing this fact find because I got to learn more about a different cultures traditional drum. I think that I could have found more specific facts.

South Pacific Beats

I learnt how to read a text then connect it to my prior knowledge.

First we used our prior knowledge and connected it to the text. We choose to do indivisual reading, so we all read the text by ourselves.

Next we read the last few pages and answered some questions about the text. For exapmple “What drum is used in your culture?”

Lastly we read the last pages and answered all of the questions. To figure the correct answer we got into groups and diggused our answers.

I enjoyed this task because I got to learn more about drums and what drum is played in my culture.
